TIMELINE

A brief journey through our history

1968

It was founded as a family company, dedicated to the processing and commercialisation of pig, cow and sheep meat and offal.

1973

Pigs are slaughtered at the associated slaughterhouse FRIGORIFICOS DEL NORDESTE S.A. «NORFRISA» -ES 10.10179/GE CE-, with modern facilities, being one of the most distinguished slaughterhouses on Spanish soil.

1992

FRIGORIFICOS UNIDOS, S.A.. acquired FRIGORIFICOS DEL NORDESTE S.A., “NORFRISA”, the cow slaughterhouse, where cows and sheep are slaughtered.

1994

The IMPORT DEPARTMENT was created, an international division within the company. Located in Barcelona and dedicated to the acquisition and distribution of high-quality deep-frozen products, with the FRIUSA seal.

2014

The IFS and BRC certificates -international food safety standards- granted by the SGS certificate authority, consolidate our work and continuous effort to offer a top-quality products.

2020

The Welfair ™ Animal Welfare certificates, which are approved by IRTA and NEIKER, guarantee and endorse the FRIUSA brand.

2022

Today, FRIUSA exports to multiple countries, including markets that are demanding in terms of our industry, such as the European Union, China, Japan, Korea and the Philippines.
